I just remembered that Dewey’s 24 Hour Readathon is back! This biannual readathon is great for people who can’t commit to a whole week’s worth of challenges, schedules, and times etc. It’s also perfect if you are just getting back into reading–like me. Today was the first time I cracked open a book since February 18th! That’s a little over two months! By far not the longest stretch I’ve gone through, but still. It’s big enough.
I can finally commit to reading; if even just a little. My To-do list is still pretty big. But, with my Saturday plans now changed due to unforeseen circumstances, I am now free to participate. I am looking forward to it. Dewey’s readathon is truly great. If you haven’t participated in one yet, maybe make this one your year.
I will try to update throughout the day, tomorrow here and on twitter. If you don’t follow me on twitter yet, you can find me at @indiereadergirl. I have been silent on it for a long time. But, will resurrect it because of this challenge. And, will try to continue to use it from now on. As you know, though, with running TWO businesses, life gets pretty hectic for me. You can see that in my non-existent posts this last year.
I’m tryin’, I’m tryin’.
So, stayed tune for this weekend with me! I hope you join in on the fun.
If you are looking to fill your ereader, head over to Good Books and Good Wine for a great post on deals for your kindle, with most books on the list $5 or under.
See ya soon!

I’ll be participating in the 24h readathon too this year!! I know exactly what you mean when you say that you barely find the time to read a book now, but I hope I’ll finally commit to reading books again after today’s event ☺️

I hope I can keep reading after this, too. Good luck!! There is another readathon in May for bout of books if you’re interested. I’ll be participating in that, too.
