If you have frequented my blog in the recent blogs you may have notice my post about Out of Print’s Book Madness competition, there was a match between Aslan from The Chronicles of Narnia by C.S. Lewis and Katniss from The Hunger Games Trilogy by Suzanne Collins. Now, I predicted Katniss would win the whole competition. I chose her, naturally. After all, she won her first hunger games and was the leader, basically, of the second revolution. She was amazing. Alas, Aslan won. Someone’s comment was of course he would win because he had died and came back to life.
Now, readers, what do you think? Was Aslan the rightful winner of this literary battle? Or should Katniss ave reigned champion?

I adore Katniss but I think Aslan is the right choice in this case for who he represents. But I do love Katniss! 🙂

This is true, Shelia. I just think she’s so badass that I was shocked she wasn’t even in the finals. It’s Aslan vs Atticus Finch. How is that possible? Atticus beat HARRY POTTER!!! Now, how is that possible? A lawyer beating a wizard? The Boy Who Lived? Oi.

Katniss is no doubt a bad ass. I wouldn’t ever want to be her enemy as her capabilities go above and beyond, but Aslan has powers that no one can ever dream of. He is an almighty being and Katniss at the end of the day is only human.

She is only human. I do get this funny thought how she can shoot an arrow at him sleeping. Just lazily lift her arm. It’s bad, I know.
Now, Aslan vs Harry Potter, the boy who lived? This was not a pairing, although it should have been.
Maybe Aslan will be the winner. It is currently between him and Atticus Finch who beat Harry Potter somehow. I keep voting for Aslan despite my anger over Katniss’s defeat.

I think Aslan would win. He’s all kinds of magical power and has been resurrected. He has the power to sway followers I think he’d be able to defeat anyone. He’s very godlike.

Yet Atticus Finch beat him in the finals. I voted for Aslan at that time. But he sadly lost to a lawyer. Shocking. The final pairing is Voldemort vs Atticus Finch. I chose Voldemort.
